Advisor

Caroline Beverly Seah

works as Office Manager with BioVenture Centre Pte Ltd (BVC), a subsidiary of Beckon, Dickinson & Company (BD). In her capacity as Office Manager, her primary resonsibilities include the day-to-day running of the office, seamless travel arrangements and facilitation all of the company's key events. She also acts as BVC's liaison with vendors in the region. focused on providing best practice services to all incubator companies by addressing their needs, concerns and questions include:
-- Work with Authorities from other countries on exchange programs for researchers, biomedical students;
-- Continue to establish good working relationship with relevant government agencies (EDB, JTC, sCDG & NEA) by participating in meetings and ad-hoc projects;
-- Coordinate and assist the Business Development Manager on publicity write-ups, workshops, conferences;
-- Showcase BVC's facilities to potential incubator companies and assist with business start-up, i.e. prescribed collection of information specific to starting up biomedical businesses in Singapore.

Chief Executive Officer

Quek Yeow Chong

is the CEO of Shining Starz. He is a first year student in NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Being a class chairman in his pre-university days, he helped to organize charity bazaars in his school. Yeow Chong also held posts of assistant section leader and section leader in his secondary school band and his pre-university choir. Through the experience of holding these posts, he had helped to organize annual co-curricular activities camps and also an overseas camp to Sweden with his secondary school band. He believes that these experiences will serve him well in running Shining Starz.

Public Relations Officer

Goh Xiu Juan

works as Public Relations Officer with Shining Starz Pte Ltd. Being a human person, she enjoys her work. To her, having a passion as a work is the best thing that ever happened throughout her 22 years on planet Earth. Her primary responsibilities will include liasing with potential clients, working with them what is the best arrangement Shining Starz can do for them. Events that involve the garnering of publicity will also be under her arena. In short, she is responsible for constructing the image that Shining Starz wants to portray to the world.

Program Manager

Syarif

is a first year Undergraduate Student at NUS. He has a strong athletic background, having represented his schools in many sports including rugby, athletics and soccer. His sporting achievements include

He also held several leadership roles back in his secondary school days. He was a Peer Support Leader, a Technical Director for the Malay Cultural Society, an Assistant Class Monitor and Captain of his pre-university Touch Rugby team.
He is also an avid gamer and participates actively in the local gaming scene and community.

Syarif firmly believes that passion is the key to success and that passion in turn drives motivation and confidence. With Shining Starz, Syarif hopes to help other people discover and realize their passion and use it as a tool to drive them forward.

Chief Operational Officer

Sathappan
is a year two student in Electrical Engineering, NUS. He has huge interests in entreprenuership. Currently he holds various leadership positions in commitees of NUS. He is the marketing executive in NUSSU Bizcomm. He is also the programs executive in NUS entreprenuership society(NES). He hold the position of projects executive in Biz-Asia beijing(NES) and also a member of various business and entreprenuership related commitees inside and outside campus. He personally thinks students are the future of the country. He believes that by installing leadership qualities in a student can lead him/her to a pinnalce of glory.

Secretary

Li Yixian

is a 4th year student from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, majoring in English Language. She was the chairperson of the Dawn Editorial Board in National Junior College. After her A levels in November 2002, she worked in Singapore Press Holdings as a journalist for 5 months. She was admitted to NUS in 2003 and has been working as a student associate at the Office of Alumni Relations since June 2004. During academic year 2004/2005, she was involved in many centennial celebartion events organized by the International Relations Office and the Office of International Relations. She believes that everyone has the potential to excel in life in their individual and unique ways, just as she believes that the earth is revolving around the sun. And she is happy that she is part of the team Shining Stars, who will help young people achieve that goal by equipping them with essential life skills.

Chief Financial Officer
Zhang Chao

is currently a first year undergraduate in National University of Singapore. He works as a Chief Financial Officer with Shining Starz Pte Ltd. He is an easy going person with a kind heart. Although he deals with maths figure and charts more often, he is also willing to help customers to grasp important life skills and fulfill their dreams.

Hsiao Qun

is currently a 3 ½ year student in School Of Computing at NUS. She will graduate by the end of this semester with a degree in Computing (Business Focus). At the same time, she has been a financial adviser with Prudential Assurance Company for the past 1 ½ year. She strongly believes that everyone has the potential to excel and Shinig Starz is here to help.
